If you have built castles in the air explores the potential of the exhibition as a medium to conjure and articulate spatial memory. Conceptually and architecturally interrogating the past and present of the Meierhof complex, this collaborative project imagines time made tangible. Glimpses into the factual past of the building that homes KS Rooms today – as a barn, a henhouse, a storeroom, an artist’s studio – are entwined with moments of speculation on what never happened, could have happened or is yet to happen. The resulting sensation of a déjà vu lends itself to a conversation on memory, perception and history.
